Senior Environmental Planning Specialist

Tetra Tech is a global leader in the environmental consulting industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Planning Specialist to join our team in the Pacific Northwest.
As a Senior Environmental Planning Specialist, you will play a critical role in leading and executing environmental planning projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing expert advice on environmental impact assessments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with industry-leading experts, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental planning, regulatory permitting, and project management. You will have experience working with federal land management agencies, preparing and processing permit applications, conducting studies and resource analysis, and consulting with government agencies. Your expertise will enable you to lead project teams, manage deliverables, and ensure high-quality work products.
We are looking for a team-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal skills, strong critical thinking capabilities, and a flexible approach to problem-solving. You will be able to work independently, communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members, and possess a valid driver's license. A pre-employment drug screen and physical examination may be required.
This role offers a competitive salary, ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. If you are a motivated and experienced environmental planning professional looking for a new challenge, please submit your application.
Additional benefits include:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in environmental science, urban planning, environmental policy, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years' experience with NEPA assessments and regulatory compliance/permitting in the U.S.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members
- Strong task management skills in successfully scoping and managing project teams and deliverables
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to work as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to participate in required company driver reviews
- Able to work with and communicate with a diverse group of coworkers and clients
