About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a key member of our energy practice, you will provide permitting and compliance services for a variety of land development projects in Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, and throughout the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process county, state, and federal permit applications
  • Conduct studies and resource analysis
  • Consult with county, state, and federal governmental bodies and agencies
  • Coordinate with technical teams and contractors to provide technical deliverables
  • Support public outreach and understand state and county land use law code requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, environmental studies, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with environmental assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, oral communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members located across offices
  • Strong task management skills in successfully scoping and managing project teams and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing due diligence and permitting services for energy or other development projects
  • Leadership experience in project development and project management
  • Excellent agency and client relationships
