About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team. As an Environmental Planner, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing environmental planning projects, ensuring compliance with NEPA regulations, and providing expert advice on environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute environmental planning projects, ensuring compliance with NEPA regulations
  • Provide expert advice on environmental impact and develop strategies to mitigate potential effects
  • Collaborate with project managers and task lead the regulatory and permitting process for various projects in the Pacific Northwest and other western states
  • Prepare and process county, state, and federal permit applications, conduct studies and resource analysis, and consult with county, state, and federal governmental bodies and agencies
  • Support the permitting of complex projects in a dynamic work environment, utilizing strong critical thinking capabilities and a flexible approach to problem-solving
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in environmental science, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, environmental studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with NEPA assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the U.S.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, oral communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members located across other offices
  • Strong task management skills in successfully scoping and managing project teams and deliverables
