Position:
School-Based Paraprofessional

Role Overview:
The Paraprofessional plays a crucial role in supporting students who require instructional and behavioral assistance. This position involves working closely with the special education department to ensure students achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement IEP goals in areas such as academics, social skills, and behavioral management.
2. Assist in facilitating teacher-led activities, including lesson plans and small group instruction.
3. Support students in mainstream classrooms and during transitions.
4. Maintain open communication with educators regarding student progress and needs.
5. Supervise students during breaks and community activities.
6. Uphold confidentiality standards related to student information and interactions.
7. Collaborate with related service providers to support student development.
8. Aid in fostering independent living skills through daily routines.

Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students and staff.
- Successful completion of background checks and onboarding processes.
- Compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
