About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Scheduling Assistant to join our Engineering team. As a key player in our production process, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the production schedule to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive production schedule that aligns with project deadlines and company objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with the engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure the seamless flow of production activities.
  • Scheduling Optimization: Identify potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks and propose effective solutions to mitigate any potential delays or disruptions.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to the schedule to accommodate changes or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Reporting and Updates: Provide regular updates and reports on production status to key stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of production policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards in all production activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
  • Skills: Proficient in using scheduling software and other computer applications related to production management.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve production issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
