Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of warehouse staff, providing support and guidance to achieve peak performance.
  • Overseeing inventory management processes such as receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
  • Enhancing warehouse layout and workflows to optimize space and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implementing and upholding standard operating procedures (SOPs) to boost productivity and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement areas and execute corrective actions.
  • Facilitating the training and onboarding of new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for success.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A strong background in warehouse supervision or a similar role, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment are advantageous. Experience in the food and beverage sector, along with knowledge of SQF and GMP standards, is a plus.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Regularly talking or hearing, standing, and using hands for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lifting and moving up to 75 pounds with assistance and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching overhead.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
