With over two decades of expertise, Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc. stands as a leading service provider in the Power Generation sector across the United States. We are currently in search of Industrial Metal Fabricators who are prepared and enthusiastic about engaging in challenging projects.
This role involves extensive travel across the United States for outage work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Selecting suitable materials and tools for various tasks.
- Measuring and assembling metal components with precision.
- Utilizing cutting equipment and determining appropriate gas mixtures.
- Drilling and preparing metal surfaces as required.
- Maintaining inventory and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Pass a background check with no felonies in the past seven years.
- Proven experience in Welding within Industrial Construction.
- Willingness to travel frequently for job assignments.
- Comfortable working with insulation materials as necessary.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices in industrial settings.
- Successful completion of visual weld tests in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions (bend tests will also be conducted).
Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and performance on weld tests.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Preparing and joining metals according to specifications.
- Ensuring safe and effective assembly of components.
- Accurately interpreting blueprints and specifications.
- Executing welds in various positions including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
- Inspecting welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Setting up and troubleshooting welding equipment as necessary.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing and working in confined spaces.
- Adhering to safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
Work Environment:
This position is based in industrial settings, requiring significant physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting. Candidates should be prepared to handle weights up to 100 lbs and work under time-sensitive conditions.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage starting at $25 (dependent on experience).
- Daily per diem of $30.
- Travel time compensation at $15/hour.
- Covered airfare for project travel.
- Shared accommodation arrangements.
- Rental vehicle provisions based on eligibility.
