Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals experiencing changes in normal health processes or requiring assistance in the maintenance of health and the prevention or management of illness, injury, or disability.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to identify mutual goals and develop individualized care plans.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems/needs.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of care plans and revise as necessary.
  • Delegate tasks to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical judgment and skill level.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Certification: Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 12 months of hire date.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (AAS) or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
