Position Overview:
The primary function of this role is to oversee the intake processes within the court system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process legal matters ensuring compliance with laws and established court protocols.
2. Maintain legally required logs of intakes and releases.
3. Verify identification and custody for each intake.
4. Address inquiries from attorneys and the public regarding court schedules and procedures.
5. Review weekly court calendars for accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED, with preferred coursework in business, public administration, criminal justice, law, or related fields.
- Two or more years of experience in legal or court-related roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Georgia driver's license.
- Affirmation as a sworn Deputy Clerk of the Court.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures.
- Proficiency in office practices and technology.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Work Environment:
This position typically operates in an office setting but may involve high-conflict situations. Physical demands include talking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, and occasional lifting.
