Job Title: Intake Services Specialist

Job Summary:

Zelis Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Services Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Services Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently handling the preparation, intake, and administrative processing of all inquiries. This includes coordinating the daily intake of incoming inquiries, performing claim lookups, extracting and organizing inquiries, and reviewing and resolving inquiries as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and intake all incoming inquiries via fax, email, mail, and other channels.
  • Perform claim lookups and identify claims associated with incoming inquiries.
  • Extract and organize multiple inquiries, separating and attaching them to their appropriate claims.
  • Review incoming inquiries based on specified criteria, sending template letter responses or forwarding inquiries for further review.
  • Send correspondence to providers regarding our inquiry submission process and contact information.
  • Review, resolve, and complete all inquiries assigned to queues that do not require coding analyst review.
  • Enter requests to clients for additional information, follow up on those requests, and provide resolution to claims.
  • Aid in the preparation of claims for adjustments as needed.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare and medical claims processing within a provider/facility's office or payer.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions on assignments.
  • Professional manner and respect for confidentiality of all pertinent information.
  • Ability to work well with others and effectively communicate with colleagues.
