Job Summary

The Senior Associate Director, Prospect Research is a key member of the Advancement Operations Team, responsible for leading the prospect research team in identifying and cultivating high-level donors and prospects. This role requires a deep understanding of prospect research, strategic planning, and market research on donors and prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program leadership for the Prospect Research Team, including coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Supervise the execution of all prospect-related research, including prospect identification, capacity ratings, and wealth screening projects.
  • Facilitate the execution of wealth and capacity briefing materials for senior leaders and frontline development officers.
  • Work collaboratively with other Advancement Operations Teams, fundraisers, and senior staff to implement prospect research strategies and identify specific research needs.
  • Develop and synthesize information on prospects to produce clear profiles, including background, career, financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and relationship to the University and Booth.
  • Identify new prospects to grow the prospect pool and participate in strategic prospect identification projects.
  • Stay current on industry trends and practices through associations, professional colleagues, and other sources.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of prospect research, prospect management, strategic planning, and market research on donors and prospects.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and staff.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex documents, including regulatory filings.
