Product Owner II

Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is a professional services company that provides payment technology, education services, and learning management solutions to education and faith-based organizations. As a Product Owner II, you will play a key role in coordinating product development, release planning, and managing the overall successful delivery of new and existing products.

This position focuses on continuing to develop skills and mentoring/training other Product Owners. You will serve as the product owner for the integration of Student Information Systems and Financial Accounting Systems to our existing product suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with agile development teams to create use cases, requirements, and estimations in support of company objectives.
  • Document release notes and manage the analytics behind the customer's journey through our products.
  • Validate UX mocks and early-stage simulations with clients.
  • Ensure solutions meet market expectations.
  • Work with sales, technical sales, marketing, and product manager to provide content for sales, user training, and documentation tools.
  • Update client documentation, including release notes and roadmaps.
  • Launch new products with assistance from the Product Manager.
  • Manage client feedback tools to ensure the voice of the customer is heard and felt in each product.
  • Study and report on product analytics.
  • Be a resource for onboarding new team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years related experience or existing product knowledge.
  • 2+ years of experience with Ellucian or Workday student information systems. Banner experience preferred, or applicable experience with Higher Ed software.
