The Customer Solutions Specialist will take full responsibility for addressing all incoming customer inquiries, ensuring that each issue is resolved to meet the customer's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster ongoing relationships with regional clients and sales personnel by managing incoming calls, rectifying order discrepancies, processing customer requests, and addressing product or service challenges.
- Handle sales orders and modifications, confirming shipment and delivery timelines, as well as cancellations.
- Offer specialized gas and supply sales support to customers, fellow Customer Solutions Specialists, and our external sales teams.
- Utilize business software systems to access customer data, check inventory status, and process orders efficiently.
- Assess customer credit conditions and complete necessary documentation for issuing credits or debits.
- Provide quotes and support to the sales team and management within established guidelines.
- Recommend additional or alternative products and services to fulfill customer requirements, adhering to pricing protocols.
- Distribute informational materials such as sales brochures and marketing flyers to customers.
- Manage phone inquiries related to service requests and part orders.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders.
- Achieve high performance levels to meet call center metrics.
- Source products and goods from both internal and external suppliers.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- High School Diploma is required; college education or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service or retail sales is essential.
- Prior experience in the industry, with knowledge of current company offerings (including hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gases, specialty gases, and medical gases) is required.
- Hands-on experience in the Specialty Gas and Hydrocarbon sectors is necessary.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems and applications.
- Ability to work independently and exhibit self-motivation.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
