Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Water Treatment Plant, Water Distribution and Administration, Sewage Treatment Plant, and Hydroelectric Plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety standards related to water, wastewater, and hydroelectric systems.
  • Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other city departments and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in water resources management and proven leadership experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in water and/or wastewater process systems, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A New York State Professional Engineer's License is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
