Position Summary:
The Senior Transformation Manager will be an integral part of a skilled team of consultants and marketers dedicated to advancing Merkle clients' marketing maturity through data-driven, customer-focused initiatives, processes, and technology solutions.

The Senior Transformation Manager plays a pivotal role within our Transformation & Consulting team, ensuring that our recommendations are grounded in a profound understanding of our clients' business and strategic goals. This position requires the ability to cultivate strong relationships, establishing oneself as a trusted advisor to both clients and the Merkle team. Candidates must exhibit analytical and creative thinking, demonstrating agility in addressing client challenges. As a vital contributor within a team, the ability to inspire belief in proposed ideas and drive them to execution is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with consulting delivery leads to manage individual consulting workstreams and deliverables, often in conjunction with concurrent Merkle data and technology teams.
  • Facilitate client discovery sessions using techniques such as interviews, document reviews, client questionnaires, or marketing data analysis.
  • Utilize proprietary tools to conduct customer-centric capability assessments and develop strategic blueprints.
  • Conduct thorough market and competitive research to identify trends, benchmarks, and best practices that inform our recommendations.
  • Create customer journey maps based on market and customer insights to define innovative omnichannel experiences that generate additional business value.
  • Lead the discovery, prioritization, and development of customer use cases (B2B, B2C), supporting visioning and prioritization workshops.
  • Identify and establish new processes to facilitate marketing transformation initiatives.
  • Develop executive-level presentations that synthesize discovery findings into cohesive themes driving client recommendations and decision-making.
  • Plan and conduct business prioritization workshops, employing a mix of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to select top recommendations.
  • Create multi-year roadmaps to guide client implementation, collaborating with data and technology teams to identify key dependencies and sequencing of recommendations.
  • Ensure that meaningful client value is delivered through a combination of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and innovative thinking.
  • Identify critical data points and metrics to demonstrate the impact of our strategies on the client's business.
  • Support business development efforts, including opportunity identification, proposal creation, and other pursuit activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal Merkle teams (account management, operations, technology, analytics, etc.) and partner agencies to assess the feasibility of cross-channel recommendations and plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 7+ years of cross-industry consulting experience in digital transformation roles or integrated marketing strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm and/or digital marketing agency.
  • Proven understanding of the end-to-end consulting approach to address client challenges—from design and development to strategy execution.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies (AdTech/MarTech) to orchestrate and activate customer experiences.
  • Experience in leading and delivering complex projects, providing actionable solutions for clients.
  • (Preferred) Prior experience in developing or implementing B2B marketing solutions and strategies, including Account-Based Marketing (ABM).
  • (Preferred) Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or wealth management.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing data and research to inform decisions, with some knowledge of data and analytics strategy.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to translate data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations—proficiency in PowerPoint required.
  • Capability to leverage business acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities.
  • Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, and persuasive skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset; thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments, as well as in informal, loosely structured, and creative settings.
  • Comfort and experience working within a highly matrixed organization in roles with a wide degree of latitude.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%-30% (contingent on client comfort level).

Additional Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000 - $152,375, based on various factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other legally permissible considerations.
