POSITION SUMMARY

Our Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) / Mental Health Technicians provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

  • Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, perform direct and indirect nursing care for patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Provide care that meets the unique needs of assigned patients, adhering to Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, and physician orders.
  • Promote effective communication among healthcare team members, patients, and families, enhancing the overall care experience.
  • Function within Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR policies and procedures, upholding the values and mission of The University of Vermont Health Network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program.
  • Registered as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum one year of Licensed Nursing Assistant experience, preferred for the Resource Pool.
  • Acute care facility experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
