Job Title: Optical Physicist

AOSense is seeking a highly skilled Optical Physicist to join our team of experts in the field of quantum technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in optical metrology, laser characterization, and optical design, with experience in developing compact laser systems for atom-based sensors and frequency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, and test laser systems for fieldable atom optic devices
  • Develop and characterize optical frequency combs and high-finesse cavities
  • Validate the long-term stability of photonic systems in dynamic environments
  • Characterize laser performance and optics
  • Model laser beam propagation with optical design software

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Physics or a related field
  • Strong expertise in lasers, optics, and optomechanics
  • Hands-on experience with optical test equipment
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot electronic control systems for photonics devices
