Job Description:
The Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer is responsible for enhancing the operational efficiency of mechanical assets within their designated production unit while anticipating capital and maintenance requirements to mitigate risks associated with production Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and maintenance expenditures.

The primary objective of the Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer is to guarantee the functionality and availability of mechanical assets to fulfill the production targets of the unit. Furthermore, this role involves supporting both Capital and Expense projects to ensure that designs are both dependable and easy to maintain.
Continuous improvement of both technical and interpersonal skills through training and certification opportunities is essential. TARGETED OUTCOMES: Achieve 100% mechanical asset availability to meet daily production objectives.

Eliminate unplanned equipment downtime and drive performance to our defined standards by employing effective behaviors, tools, and skills while upholding the Core Values in every aspect of the role. Ensure exceptional safety performance and complete environmental compliance. Engineer innovative and practical solutions to maintenance, reliability, and operational challenges.

Maintain consistent product quality, ensure proper design and documentation of asset care plans, and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to continually enhance maintenance, reliability, and production processes.

Design and implement innovative upgrades to sustain performance levels through preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and enhance overall reliability and maintainability through various projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership: Exhibit leadership in fostering a Zero-incident safety culture. Implement established maintenance and reliability strategies. Identify necessary training for maintenance technicians and develop procedures. Recognize and execute Cost Improvement and Cost Avoidance initiatives. Processes: Address equipment failures to ensure daily production targets are met. Assist in maintenance and capital replacements, repairs, and overhauls of mechanical equipment assets, including both rotating and stationary equipment. Draft maintenance procedures, job plans, and repair strategies. Document equipment failure history and associated costs using SAP and OEE data. Conduct routine troubleshooting of mechanical equipment. Perform repair versus replacement analyses on equipment. Execute root cause failure analyses for equipment. Scope and implement equipment replacement and upgrade projects.

Manage Asset Management responsibilities for equipment, including maintaining comprehensive files and databases for equipment data, ensuring standardization of equipment and associated standards, and organizing spare inventories as part of the overall asset care strategy. Coordinate proactive solutions based on Condition Monitoring findings with operations and maintenance teams.

Mechanical Reliability Manager Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience. Prior experience in the Chemical, Plastics, or Refining industries is preferred.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and specifying rotating and fixed equipment. Familiarity with modeling tools such as Fathom, Compress, Aspen, or Solidworks is essential. REQUIRED SKILLS: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated, well-organized, and possess strong interpersonal abilities. Willingness to engage in hands-on fieldwork, including testing and troubleshooting. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint software. Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively multitask. Willingness to travel (typically less than 5%). Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required. Professional engineering registration is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications such as CMRP, Vibration Analysis Level 1, Pump and Mechanical Seal Training Courses, and API Certifications are preferred. Knowledge of the Mechanical Integrity section of Process Safety Management compliance is advantageous. Why is This a Great Opportunity:
