Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Construction Trainee to join our team at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. As a Traffic Signal/Lighting Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting experienced technicians and foremen with daily tasks, learning basic skills to build traffic signals and roadway lighting, and performing various electrical work tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians and foremen with daily tasks, including trenching and placing conduit, building electrical services, and installing wire and connections.
  • Learn and perform basic tasks to build traffic signals and roadway lighting, including concrete foundations for signal poles and lighting poles.
  • Operate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Work in outdoor settings and roadways, adapting to changing weather conditions and traffic patterns.
Requirements
  • CDL permit level or higher recommended, but not required upon hire. Must be able to acquire a Class A CDL within 6 months of hire.
  • 1+ years of experience in electrical construction or a related field recommended, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
