We are looking for a proactive and seasoned IT Project Manager to lead the deployment of our digital framework for our advanced manufacturing site. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing IT strategies that align with our growth objectives and ensure efficient operations. This position presents a unique opportunity to drive significant projects at the crossroads of technology and sustainable transport.

Company Background

A proposed joint venture (JV) formed by Accerlera, PACCAR, Daimler Truck, and EVE, this Battery Cell Manufacturing company is focused on producing cells primarily for the Commercial Vehicle and Energy Storage Systems markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives, ensuring they align with business goals and timelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to determine IT needs and prioritize projects.
  • Create detailed project plans that encompass scope, milestones, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
  • Effectively manage project timelines and budgets, tracking progress and addressing any issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee vendor selection and management, including contract negotiations and service level agreements.
  • Establish a robust IT infrastructure, including ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), cybersecurity protocols, and data analytics platforms.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT processes and operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to IT team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience leading IT projects in a manufacturing context, ideally within the automotive or energy sectors.
  • Strong technical proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MES, cybersecurity, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complex projects from start to finish, delivering results on schedule and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker focused on driving innovation and leveraging technology to meet business objectives.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position requires the selected candidate to be located within or near the Memphis Metropolitan Area.
