Position Overview:

As a Quality Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for all quality-related functions necessary to ensure optimal quality conditions for all products manufactured and distributed. You will maintain up-to-date quality documentation and oversee the calibration, usage, and training for all laboratory instruments. Collaborating with Engineering, you will assist in validating new products and processes while supporting the quality team leadership as required. Upholding company values and adhering to all policies and procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and finalize documentation reports for First Article Inspections (FAI) for new products and samples.
  • Maintain product standards and drawing documents for easy reference.
  • Update and manage Business Management System (BMS) documents as necessary and prepare for quality system audits.
  • Create and revise work instructions that are clear and straightforward for production operations.
  • Assist Quality inspectors in identifying product defects and investigating non-conforming materials.
  • Compile and present quality and testing data in a timely and comprehensible manner.
  • Support new hire quality training, Quality share presentations, and the training of quality inspectors on laboratory equipment and processes.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Quality Assurance supervisor or as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Complete special projects, testing, and measurements as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist in identifying training needs for Manufacturing and quality teams.
  • Report and present departmental KPIs on a daily basis.
  • Conduct in-line and startup inspection processes in manufacturing and distribution as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate through presentations and reports.
  • Maintain engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Investigate non-conforming products and manage the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) process.
  • Master laboratory equipment and provide training as needed.
  • Master inspection processes and provide training as required.

Standard Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and organization.
  • Follow company and departmental processes.
  • Exhibit professionalism and be a courteous team player.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality.
  • Experience in a fast-paced assembly environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with basic quality assurance tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Knowledge of quality concepts such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), defective parts per million (DPPM), and Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR).
  • Ability to interpret Engineering drawings.
  • Compensation: $25.00/hour.
