Position Overview:
The Cardiology Office Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the front office staff, ensuring optimal coverage at all times. This role involves conducting annual performance evaluations alongside the Practice Manager, onboarding new front office personnel, and providing continuous training for existing staff. Additionally, the coordinator will aid in formulating effective front desk policies and procedures while executing all front desk responsibilities, including patient registration, managing phone communications, scheduling appointments, completing necessary forms, coordinating surgical schedules, and handling precertification tasks. This position also serves as the EPIC Superuser for front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily front office activities and staff performance.
- Facilitate training and development for new and existing team members.
- Implement and maintain front desk policies and procedures.
- Perform front desk duties such as patient registration and appointment scheduling.
- Act as the EPIC Superuser for front desk functions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a clinical environment and/or supervisory experience is essential.
