Job Title: RN Clinic Cardiology

PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiology Clinic setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The RN Clinic Cardiology position is a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. As a RN in this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs. This includes assessing patient conditions, triaging patient phone calls, counseling patients, providing patient education, taking patient histories, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring patient vital signs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan patient care needs, including assessing patient conditions, triaging patient phone calls, and providing patient education.
  • Implement and evaluate patient care plans, including administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of established policies, procedures, and objectives, as well as quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Accredited School of Nursing required.
  • 1 year of experience as a registered nurse preferred.
  • Registered Nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Basic Life Support required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred upon hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family-centered work environment required.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications, required.
  • Effective prioritization skills required.
  • Ability to provide health education to patients, staff, and community required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, JCAHO, DNV, and HCFA regulations pertaining to ambulatory care required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs required.
  • Demonstrated competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care required.
  • Ability to work in an independent and remote environment, with high-speed connectivity, required.
