Job Opportunity:

Tradesmen International is seeking experienced NDT Level II Inspectors to conduct inspections in the Newport News, VA area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct NDT Level II PT, MT, & VT, RT or UT inspections per industry standards
  • Perform inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of materials and structures
  • Interpret and evaluate test results
  • Prepare inspection reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality assurance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Experience in Liquid Penetrant/Magnetic Particle/Visual Testing (PT, MT, & VT), Radiographic Testing (RT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Minimum of 4 years of documented continuous experience performing inspections in PT, MT, and VT OR RT and UT methods within the past 9 months
  • Current certification as Level II in PT, MT, VT or UT and RT methods per ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2001 Edition or later
  • Successful completion of written general theory and procedure-specific examinations
  • Proven ability to operate NDT equipment, record results, and analyze information
  • Valid vision acuity exam results using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry
