Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated People Relations Specialist to join our dynamic People team, which encompasses a diverse range of international backgrounds and cultures. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence a couple of days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a crucial liaison between our colleagues and the HR department, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Provide expert advice to address employee relations inquiries, performance management challenges, and conduct workplace investigations.
  • Oversee a portfolio of performance improvement initiatives, guiding managers from initial coaching through to successful resolution.
  • Assist the Senior People Relations Manager in efficiently resolving employee relations issues.
  • Independently manage short and long-term projects that contribute to the broader HR objectives.
  • Stay informed about federal and state employment regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Deliver HR services and contribute to special projects such as policy enhancements, recognition programs, and organizational restructuring.
  • Support onboarding processes, data management, HR metrics reporting, and respond to SAP inquiries as needed.
  • Collaborate with both domestic and international team members, demonstrating an understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • Handle routine inquiries and assist with HR events and communications.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain internal HR portals and provide assistance for various HR initiatives.
  • Conduct research and gather information using diverse resources as required.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing employee wellbeing and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a generalist HR role, particularly focused on Employee Relations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Experience in performance management and coaching leadership.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and manage priorities effectively.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
