Key Responsibilities:

In the role of People Relations Specialist, you will serve as a crucial liaison between our employees and the Human Resources department. Reporting to the Senior People Relations Manager for the Americas, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Offering expert advice to address employee relations inquiries, performance management challenges, and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Overseeing a portfolio of performance enhancement plans, guiding managers from initial coaching through to resolution.
  • Assisting the Senior People Relations Manager in effectively addressing employee relations issues.
  • Independently managing short and long-term projects that benefit the broader HR team.
  • Keeping abreast of federal and state employment regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Delivering HR services and contributing to special initiatives such as Recognition Programs, policy enhancements, and organizational restructuring support.
  • Supporting the People Operations Excellence Team with onboarding, data management, HR metrics reporting, and SAP inquiries as necessary.
  • Collaborating with team members across various regions, demonstrating an understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • Addressing routine inquiries and assisting with HR events and communications.
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • Maintaining internal systems and providing support for various HR initiatives.
  • Conducting research or sourcing information using diverse resources as needed.
  • Leading initiatives focused on employee wellbeing and engagement to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a generalist role with a focus on Employee Relations, workplace investigations, compliance, and policy development.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws, including FLSA, FMLA, STD, and ADA.
  • Proven experience in performance management and coaching leaders.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively.
  • Capacity to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring attendance at the office for a portion of the week, along with travel for special events as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate ranging from $43.96 ($70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience) plus performance-based incentives.
  • 35-hour work week with 15 paid vacation days.
