OVERVIEW:
The Ticket Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by assisting with ticket transactions both over the phone and in person.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide accurate information regarding ticket pricing, seating arrangements, and event details with professionalism and efficiency.
2. Process payments as per established protocols and ensure the correct distribution of tickets.
3. Maintain a precise daily ledger reflecting cash transactions and ticket sales.
4. Manage ticket requests at the will-call window in accordance with company procedures.
5. Open and close the ticket sales window as necessary.
6. Regular attendance is crucial for this role.
7. Successfully pass a background and credit evaluation.
8. This position requires flexibility to work across various ASM Global venues.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A positive demeanor and professional appearance are essential.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills are highly valued.
- Experience in Box Office or Guest Services (preferably 18 months) is advantageous.
SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash responsibly and make accurate change.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks effectively.
- Proficient in basic computer operations, particularly within ticketing software.
- Capable of organizing and accurately entering customer information.
- Excellent phone etiquette when interacting with guests.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to perform related tasks as required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- To excel in this role, the individual must successfully complete all essential duties. The qualifications listed represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role involves walking, navigating stairs, standing, bending, and significant sitting, with the potential to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs. The employee must be capable of climbing stairs and walking long distances to access seating areas. Effective communication via a two-way radio is necessary, and specific vision capabilities are required for close tasks. The role may involve fast-paced interactions with large groups of attendees.
