Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This individual will assist our Manager, Sr Purchasing & Warehouse with projects that require coordination of efforts from multiple vendors to achieve successful outcomes. The role will involve planning, purchasing, scheduling, package sourcing, inventory management, vendor follow-up, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in internal planning, including purchasing, manufacturing, packaging sourcing, inventory, and shipping & receiving.
  • Manage overall logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs.
  • Negotiate rates with vendors, carriers, and warehouses.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Foster and manage supplier partnerships.
  • Understand the procurement/buying process and job costing.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate sub-contractor and supplier quotes.
  • Process large volumes of invoices, PO's, Sub-Contracts, and support field operations with timely material supply.
  • Coordinate, manage, and negotiate logistics for commodity procurement activities.
  • Perform vendor due diligence and vendor management.
  • Contact vendors regularly to follow up on job status, negotiate pricing, etc.
  • Process and monitor high volumes of shipping requests.
  • Meet with senior management regularly to keep the team updated on project statuses.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or above.
  • A minimum of 1yr relevant work experience in both Procurement and Logistics.
  • Prefer a strong understanding of energy-efficient products and sustainable home improvement solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using typical procurement and business software such as Fishbowl, NetSuite, Excel, Center, and Concur.
  • Ability to analyze data, pricing, and develop actionable plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve company objectives.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
