Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Consultant to join our team at Truist Financial. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining our data pipelines and aiding in the development of our data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines and architectures to support enterprise data consumption.
  • Develop and maintain data models, architecture documents, and APIs to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to automate repeatable data preparation and integration tasks.
  • Analyze business needs and implement effective technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Lead small data engineering projects and play significant roles in larger initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or administration, or equivalent education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT architecture, and big data concepts.
  • Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in administration or equivalent education and experience.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Assist with documentation of releases and change management process in accordance with Truist's Software Development Life Cycle.
Working Conditions

This role requires sitting for extended periods and constant visual and audio attention. Ability to access and interpret client information and communicate with individuals in person and on the phone is essential.
