Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will perform administrative duties for the accounting department to support the company's operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management: Process payroll transactions, ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax-related tasks, including tax returns, payments, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage vendor invoices, payments, and credit memos, as well as customer payments and credits.
  • Purchasing: Assist with purchasing decisions, manage purchase orders, and maintain inventory records.
  • Employee Benefits and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with financial reporting, including preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Interpersonal and Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks accounting software.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least four years of QuickBooks experience required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged Sitting and Computer Work: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
