Blessed Oasis Pet Resort is seeking dedicated individuals to join our exceptional animal care team as a full-time Pet Grooming Specialist.

ABOUT OUR FACILITY

Since our inception, we have been offering luxurious pet boarding services, complete with comfortable accommodations, grooming stations, and a dog park. Our facility is designed to resemble a hotel, featuring amenities such as Italian tile, spacious ceiling fans, sound-absorbing materials, calming audio systems for stormy weather, and private patios for our guests. We also provide web access for pet owners to monitor their pets at any time, ensuring peace of mind.

YOUR ROLE AS A PET GROOMING SPECIALIST

This position is full-time and typically requires 5 days of work each week from 8 AM to 4 PM, with weekend availability being essential.

As a groomer, your primary responsibility is to provide high-quality grooming services to our clients' pets. You will receive specific instructions from pet owners regarding their desired grooming styles and lengths. You will also utilize breed-specific techniques. Throughout the grooming process, you will handle each animal with care, being attentive to their coat and skin condition, which allows you to provide timely updates to pet owners. Your tasks will include combing, clipping, and trimming according to the provided guidelines. When necessary, you will bathe and thoroughly dry each pet using various drying methods. After each session and at the end of the day, you will clean and sanitize your workspace. Your passion for spending time with our furry clients and your commitment to minimizing wait times for appointments will be key to your success.


WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU

  • Personal grooming tools (we supply tubs, tables, dryers, shampoo, and conditioner)
  • A diploma from an accredited grooming school OR a minimum of 3 years of professional grooming experience
  • Experience in performing breed-specific cuts
  • Proficiency with electric clippers and grooming shears
  • Ability to use verbal or physical cues to soothe anxious animals
