Job Description

Envases Ohio is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to oversee inventory management processes and ensure optimal stock levels and accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory and production reports through SAP for efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Report inventory balances and cycle counts in SAP.
  • Cycle count a multi-million dollar inventory (R.M. & WIP & P.G).
  • Train associates on inventory procedures, product put-away, and order researching.
  • Record integrity activities for manufacturing cells, using SAP.
  • Deliver product to and from machines and the product storage system using SAP.
  • Work closely with logistics to develop more efficient ways of accepting inventory.
  • Review and maintain inventory database.
  • Lead team in daily tasks, ensuring compliance to inventory processes.

Education & Experience:

  • Required – Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field
  • 3 years related experience

General Skills/Experience:

  • Inventory Adjustments - Tracked and adjusted inventory placement, creating systematic inventory adjustments as necessary
  • Physical Inventory – Implemented and improved physical inventory process by designing a Microsoft database for data collection and report processing
  • Inventory Cycle Counts – Interviewed and trained inventory associates, coached associates, when necessary, assigned tasks pertaining to inventory cycle counts or missing products.
  • Inventory Control Procedures – Provided education and training on inventory control procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Can accurately and in accordance with Company SOPs ensure shipments' and inventory transactions' accuracy.
  • Good level of assertiveness to challenge and support the team.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically; Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to identify and execute improvement opportunities through both process improvements and system improvements.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to take ownership and responsibility with little direction.
  • Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity.
  • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others, friendly and personable.
  • SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficient level of knowledge in basic hardware and software using of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Visio, Google Workspace, Outlook/Gmail, and web-site software required.
  • Working knowledge of ERP & SAP systems (prior experience with SAP strongly preferred)
  • Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly.
  • Proficient keyboarding and typing skills.

Standard warehouse/manufacturing setting, engineering labs, materials and production areas; Physically required to regularly walk, sit, bend, twist, stand and reach; requires flexible working hours and ability to work independently; Dynamic work environment, collaborating with teams in multiple locations; Constantly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, overhead lift and reach in a varied field environment; May lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job; Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; continuous use of vision, hearing and speech; occasionally works indoors in a well-lighted air-conditioned office; Daily contact with the public, other departmental personnel and vendors/clients; Frequently works with surplus and scrap materials, and is required to work outside and/or in an unaired conditioned warehouse.

Position requires the capability of managing stress effectively; work is fast-paced and can be demanding. Work requires organizing, prioritizing, accuracy, and attention to detail. Flexibility to assist with/coordinate a variety of projects and activities and to adapt standard methods and procedures to differing conditions; works in a high-volume environment.

HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-4 p.m.; present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which could include long days, occasional evenings & weekends; regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position; position may require travel to meetings, conferences, workshops, or other facilities.
