Assistant Dean for Privacy and Technology Law

The George Washington University Law School seeks a highly qualified Assistant Dean for Privacy and Technology Law to lead the Privacy and Technology Law Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in privacy and technology law, excellent administrative and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Privacy and Technology Law Program.
- Provide academic and career advising to students, including maintaining appropriate curricular offerings and identifying and recommending adjunct faculty.
- Administer the Recognition of a JD Concentration in Privacy, Data Security, and Technology Law.
- Establish two new graduate-level programs in privacy and technology law.
- Supervise students' independent legal writing projects and consult on student journal notes and seminar papers.
- Assist in identifying and creating new internship opportunities for current students.
- Assist students in gaining full-time employment after law school.
- Organize and support conferences, symposia, and other scholarly, professional, and public-facing projects and events.
- A J.D. degree is strongly preferred.
- Significant experience in legal education and/or law practice in privacy and technology law.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the various disciplines within the field and familiarity with the work of lawyers in those disciplines.
- Demonstrated administrative and management experience and capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $120,862.67 - $202,964.70.
