Data Privacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:- Support the Director of Privacy and Compliance in executing a leading global privacy program.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders from various business services teams and practice groups.
- Drive the execution of privacy program deliverables.
- Manage the Firm's HIPAA Compliance program, including identifying necessary controls, policies, procedures, and training to safeguard Protected Health Information.
- Advise on complex data privacy requirements and best practices, including cross-border data transfers.
- Assist with privacy investigations and incidents.
- Analyze and evaluate the Firm's compliance with relevant privacy and data protection regulations, standards, and frameworks.
- Support the Firm's data protection impact assessment efforts, including creating awareness materials.
- Oversee the privacy and data protection training program.
- Educate junior staff on evolving privacy regulations and trends.
- Escalate data privacy risks and vulnerabilities to the Director of Privacy and Compliance.
- Manage data subject access requests and update processes and procedures as necessary.
- Perform program risk assessments, including program maturity assessments, and develop privacy risk remediation plans and recommendations.
- Support the Firm's adoption of tools and technologies that support the privacy and compliance program.
- 5 years of related privacy experience required, with people leadership experience preferred.
- Industry-standard certification, such as CIPP/C, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM preferred.
- Knowledge or understanding of IT Security principles a plus.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
