Water Resources Planning and Management

At Stantec, we're seeking an experienced Water Resources Planner to join our team of public affairs and community water planning professionals. This role will involve working with communities to plan, learn, teach, and implement challenging water plans and projects while delivering solutions to some of California's most complex water resource opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your experience with integrated water resources management, stormwater resources planning, environmental justice, community engagement, and equitable water infrastructure.
  • Achieve the California legislated human right to water.
  • Join and participate with inter-disciplinary teams on water resources projects throughout California and the western U.S.
  • Conduct community-engaged planning and assessments supporting water supply, sanitation, flood control, and environmental restoration projects.
  • Lead implementation of projects and programs identified by community members that overcome challenges and reinforce strengths.
Requirements
  • At least six to ten years of experience supporting communities with engagement, education, and decision-making related to water, natural resources, utilities, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental management, water resources planning, city and regional planning/urban planning, environmental science, ecology, natural resources, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
