Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Officer Assistant to join our team at Guild Mortgage Company. As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our loan officers in originating, processing, and closing loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Origination: Assist loan officers in originating loans, including reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring completeness of submission.
  • Customer Communication: Contact borrowers and/or mortgage brokers to collect necessary documentation and act as a liaison between origination staff, underwriters, and customers.
  • File Management: Track key dates of transaction, maintain customer contact to ensure follow-up of loan application, and manage client and referral partner databases.
  • Quality Control: Resolve file problems, bottlenecks, and qualifying issues throughout the production and underwriting process.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support in the collection and preparation of submitting loan applications with supporting documentation to processing.
  • Marketing: Coordinate, create, track, and distribute marketing materials.
Requirements
  • Active MLO Licensing: Must have an active MLO license.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in mortgage banking or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
