Position: Desktop Support Technician
Compensation: $25/hour, paid weekly
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: New York City, NY (Brooklyn area)
Contract Duration: 3 months, with potential for permanent placement

Role Overview:
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be integral in providing assistance to our clients while proactively addressing their requirements. Your goal will be to ensure a seamless experience for every user.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve desktop issues for both onsite and remote employees.
  • Handle standard desktop and laptop repair tasks.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide remote or on-site assistance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and business application problems.
  • Manage and install equipment in meeting rooms, including projectors and videoconferencing tools.
  • Track calls, incidents, and requests using the designated ServiceNow platform.
  • Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems.
  • Set up, configure, and add various hardware components.
  • Engage in face-to-face interactions to deliver technical support to end users at their locations.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT support.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Strong understanding of IT services and products.
  • Passionate about technology with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Personable and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to relate and be responsible when interacting with all clients.
  • Consultative problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in Desktop Support for both hardware and software.

Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in supporting PC hardware and software.

Certifications:
  • A+ certification is preferred.
