Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist II to join our team at the Institute for Comm Living. As a Medical Specialist II, you will play a critical role in providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Support: Provide medical support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and communicating with healthcare providers.
  • Personal Care: Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Community Integration: Support individuals in participating in community activities, such as shopping, dining, and social events, to promote socialization and inclusion.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress, including medical summaries, behavioral reports, and program plans.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Certifications: Current AMAP certification required; SCIP-R and CPR/SFA certifications preferred.
