Job Overview

At Institute for Comm Living, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional II, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in our residential programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and services to residents, promoting their independence, choice, and community integration.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, toileting, lifts, and transfers, as well as meal preparation and dining.
  • Encourage residents to participate in games, recreational programs, and daily living skills development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to implement and record care plans, and administer medication as needed.
  • Ensure the health and safety of residents in emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate from an accredited organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
