We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT System Administrator to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our critical IT infrastructure's smooth operation and performance. You will be responsible for various tasks, including server administration, network maintenance, user support, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain REL's IT systems and equipment for daily operations.
  • Provide support and service for daily operations and direction for future technology expansion and growth.
  • Manage onsite hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, computerized machinery, and associated networking equipment.
  • Ensure employees are trained in cybersecurity best practices.
  • Create documentation and procedures for meeting CMMC compliance.
  • Implement a cloud data hosting and backup strategy to secure company file shares and provide access to onsite and remote users.
  • Support external service providers with website hosting, VoIP phone systems, machine networking, and cellular IoT data hardware.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, and network devices.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
  • Participate in system upgrades and migrations.
  • Document IT processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management of information systems, information technology, cybersecurity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience commissioning and managing Windows PCs as well as local & cloud-based data systems.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays during scheduled maintenance or emergencies and be accessible via cell phone for emergency calls.
  • The desire and ability to keep abreast of new technologies, including desktop, laptop, server hardware, Windows operating systems, and application software.
  • Must live within a one-hour commute from REL headquarters in Calumet.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
