About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to coordinate and assist with the preparation of Medicare Cost Reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Summarize data from the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement Report to facilitate the preparation of Medicare Cost Reports.
  • Gather necessary information for completing Medicare Cost Reports, including data on Disproportionate Share and Low-Income Patient percentages, Indirect Medical Education, Capital payments, utilization, case-mix-index, and rate factors.
  • Assist in preparing and updating outstanding Medicare Retroactive schedules for Controllers' Office, Corporate Budget, and General Accounting.
  • Prepare and provide necessary documents for year-end audit by external auditors.
  • Coordinate and assist in timely completion of Medicaid cost reports for all facilities.
  • Provide statistical data to meet internal, city, and external stakeholders' needs.
  • Develop and disseminate Selected Cost Rates and other analysis of cost report data.
  • Prepare responses to various surveys and data requests, including routine reporting required by GNYHA, AHA, AEH, and HANYS.
Requirements and Qualifications

A Master's degree in public administration or business administration, or equivalent, and four years of experience in management analysis or operational direction, planning, coordination, or control. Alternatively, a Baccalaureate degree and five years of experience, with three years in a supervisory capacity.

Benefits and Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary of $83,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with retirement savings and pension plans, paid holidays and vacation in accordance with employees' collectively bargained contracts.
