Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multifamily Region Purchasing Manager to join our team at D.R. Horton, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and procurement, with experience in managing purchasing staff and negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of purchasing for the multifamily region, including obtaining and evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality work at a competitive price.

• Supervise and direct purchasing staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as appraising performance and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Develop and implement purchasing and logistics strategies on a regional level, identifying opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancements.

• Interact with national purchasing directors to ensure compliance with all national programs and timely obtain all relevant vendor rebates.

• Create budgets for upcoming projects and manage and review costs of existing projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

• Three to five years of related experience and/or training, with proficiency in MS Office and email.

• Strong communication skills, creative thinking, and attention to detail.
