About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team at ECI Group. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for analyzing, entitling, closing, and overseeing the execution of multifamily development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze multifamily development opportunities in the southeast region.
  • Source and negotiate with landowners, and complete due diligence on potential projects.
  • Prepare financial models to forecast financial performance and present investment committee memos.
  • Lead all aspects of the development process, including project entitlement, architectural and design development, permitting, capital raising, construction administration, and eventual project disposition/recapitalization.
  • Critically review construction plans to ensure company standards are met and designs are cost-effective.
  • Participate in public meetings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Control project costs within the approved budget and update financial projections throughout the project duration.
  • Bid out and negotiate development-related contracts and legal agreements.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of commercial real estate development or construction experience.
  • Proven self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to synthesize complex information into critical points that are communicated clearly and succinctly.
  • Employ a team-oriented, humble, friendly, and collaborative mindset while also helping colleagues learn and grow professionally.
