Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for point of care testing in clinics and inpatient settings.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals on point of care testing.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory teams to support testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One of the following: Associate's degree in Science/Healthcare plus one year applicable experience, two years of undergraduate coursework in a Science/Health related Bachelor's program plus one year applicable experience, three years Phlebotomist experience and current Phlebotomy Certification, or three years related experience in a laboratory and/or point of care setting.
  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office preferred.

Physical Demands:

The Point of Care Technician will occasionally lift up to 36 pounds, frequently lift up to 24 pounds, and rarely lift up to 54 pounds. The position requires standing, walking, and rotating trunk.
