This position necessitates the application of a trauma-informed methodology to aid clients in reaching their therapeutic objectives, ensuring a secure and organized environment, and facilitating recreational activities with the residents.

Program Overview:

The Orange County Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) located in Fountain Valley caters to children and non-minor dependents. The clients may present with mental health challenges, behavioral issues, and emotional disturbances. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive services aimed at reuniting clients with their families or transitioning them to a foster care setting within a six-month timeframe following their admission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Sciences
  • Valid Child Development Teaching Permit
  • Completion of 12 semester units in relevant coursework
  • Prior experience in related fields
  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Valid California driver's license along with certifications in CPR/First Aid and Pro-ACT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to residents
  • Utilize Relational Approach techniques to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Document interactions in accordance with established guidelines
  • Conduct safety checks and implement necessary precautions
