The Material Control Coordinator is responsible for the precise and secure distribution of materials both within and outside the facility, ensuring efficiency and promptness. This position encompasses duties such as inventory oversight, material handling, and stock management. It necessitates meticulous counting, assembly of materials, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee transactions and manage inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized warehouse environment.
  • Assist in the movement of work-in-progress items.
  • Support kitting for work orders and potentially engage in shipping, receiving, and packaging tasks.
  • Operate a company vehicle and/or forklift as required.
Essential SkillsHard Skills
  • Proficient in tracking inventory of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Data entry experience with MRP or ERP systems.
  • Experience with cycle counting procedures.
  • Computer literacy, with familiarity in SAP being advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is conducted entirely on-site. The work setting is well-lit, clean, and climate-controlled. Standard working hours are during the first shift, with potential for extended hours and weekend work as necessary. The position requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and frequent movement. Employees may encounter various workplace hazards, including noise and moving machinery, and must utilize personal protective equipment.
