Job Summary:

Volt is seeking a skilled Material Coordinator to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for storing, counting, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. You will also compile and maintain records of quantity, cost, and type of material stocked and issued, and prepare material requisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work from requisition, order list, or stock list to pull required items.
  • Use a checklist to ensure kit accuracy.
  • Accumulate orders, report shortages, and transport completed orders to distribution point or staging area.
  • Process returned items and unscheduled issues.
  • Compile and maintain inventory of material received, stocked, and issued.
  • Prepare requests for procurement of material.
  • Lift heavy items and operate a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Take inventory of stored items through cycle counting.
  • Audit kits for accuracy.
