Role Summary:
The International Officer position is pivotal in generating long-term value for IBC through engagement with customers and the community. This role focuses on nurturing and maintaining relationships with both international and domestic clients, adhering to bank policies and guidelines. When necessary, the officer will connect clients with IBC specialists to address specific financial needs. The role also involves gathering information and documentation for due diligence from new and existing clients. Active community participation is essential to build a network of leads that can create opportunities for both the bank and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with potential domestic and international clients.
  • Enhance existing client relationships by assessing their needs and recommending suitable products and services to expand the deposit and loan portfolios.
  • Address customer issues and complaints through direct engagement.
  • May include responsibilities such as approving wire transfers and preparing performance-related reports.
Business Development:
  • Identify new business prospects by leveraging the existing client portfolio and fostering community partnerships.
Strategic Planning:
  • Review and assist in updating reports related to the international business strategy.
Additional Duties:
  • Guide new hires through orientation by providing essential information about bank programs, policies, and procedures, while monitoring their progress.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and bank policies, including confidentiality, Anti-Money Laundering laws, the Banking Secrecy Act, and the USA Patriot Act.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Two-year college degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient communication skills (oral and written) in a professional manner in both English and Spanish.
Preferred:
  • High motivation with a proven ability to meet individual and team performance objectives.
  • Experience in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Ability to positively engage with dissatisfied customers.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
