Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator

Location: Boca Raton, FL USA

Pay Rate: $18.70/hr on W2

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Overview:

The Quality Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the quality assurance processes within the organization. This position involves receiving samples, assessing testing requirements, completing Product Evaluation forms, and coordinating with laboratories for testing purposes. The coordinator will also manage the release of materials using inventory management systems and prepare Certificates of Analysis (CofAs). Regular updates will be provided to department heads and the Material Review Board (MRB) regarding ongoing laboratory investigations. Additionally, support will be offered to supervisors in organizing testing data and trending information.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely status updates to various departments concerning sample submissions.
  • Assign testing requirements for incoming raw materials and bulk lots, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Communicate with relevant personnel regarding re-sampling and missing documentation.
  • Assist in the Change Control Record Program as needed.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including quality data trends and laboratory logs.
  • Review Certificates of Analysis (COA) and quality documents from suppliers.
  • Create CofAs for bulk materials based on completed test results.
  • Support the investigation process for customer complaints by providing relevant testing information.
  • Coordinate the submission of samples to external laboratories and report results.
  • Manage purchase orders for laboratory supplies.
  • Offer training and technical support to the Quality Coordinator team regarding testing protocols.
  • Utilize various database platforms for effective information management.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in chemistry, microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Biology or related sciences is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and basic mathematical proficiency are essential.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with technical or trade skills are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and understand relevant scientific terminology.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and FDA/USP testing methodologies is preferred.
