About the Role

Sedgwick is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Field Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Field Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and adjusting property and casualty claims, both residential and commercial, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of claims, including inspecting properties and interviewing claimants and witnesses.
  • Determine insurance coverage and compensable damages/reserves.
  • Prepare estimates for cost of repair and/or replacement.
  • Negotiate and settle claims with claimants and third-party vendors.
  • Address salvage and subrogation as required by clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business referrals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • IIA-AIC designation required.
  • Appropriate state adjuster license required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated commitment to timely reporting.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
